8. Big Mud Lake
Habitat: Big Mud Lake is a large, shallow playa approximately
Birds: Sage Grouse, White-crowned Sparrows, various shorebirds
Directions: From Cedarville travel 25 mi N. on Co. Rd 1 to Fort Bidwell, travel E. 4.5 mi on Co Rd 20, the N.E. (left fork) 3.4 mi on the Barrel Springs Back Country Byway (Co Rd 201). Big Mud Lake is .25 mi E. of the road. A rough track goes to the lake and is not recommended for passenger autos.
